Most people think of divorce when they hear Family Law.  Family Law does include divorce with its many issues between married persons including but not limited to custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, property distribution and pre and post marital agreements.  There are also many issues that arise after a divorce, such as which parent and to what extent a parent is responsible for the cost of college, the modification and termination of child support or alimony, emancipation, and the enforcement of the terms of the divorce.

However, there are also issues between unmarried persons such as cohabitation agreements, support, custody, and support of the children born to them as well as adoption, change of name, and child abuse and neglect involving the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
